🎬 Refugee Girls in Brussels

I’m pleased to share that my documentary Refugee Girls will be screened during the UNIMED Week in Brussels 2026, on 27 January, at the European Parliament.

The screening will be followed by a debate and will take place within an international context focused on dialogue between universities, European institutions, and civil society, addressing themes of human rights, education, and inclusion.

Many thanks to UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union for making this important moment of exchange possible.

My recent trip to China has been filled with meaningful encounters and inspiring experiences — all made possible thanks to Hangzhou Feel and their exceptional organization.

During my stay, I had the chance to discover the beauty of Hangzhou, immerse myself in the rich tradition of tea culture, explore the history and atmosphere of the legendary West Lake, and connect with a vibrant community of students and creatives.

I was honored to share my work and journey as a filmmaker through talks on cross-cultural dialogue, a photographic exhibition, and the screening of my documentaries. These exchanges reminded me once again of the power of cinema to build bridges between people and cultures.

Thank you, Hangzhou, for your warmth and inspiration.

Also, the documentary has been nominated for awards at the Liverpool Indie Awards 2025. Out of the 3528 submissions we received this season

The first shooting of the teaser horror project in South East Asia has begun. We are always looking for co-producers, distributors and pre-sales

 

Screening of the documentary “When you can’t go back” 7th of March 2025 at Maynooth and the Universit Irland for the event will be a central one in the programme of the “Social Justice Week”, to be held in March 2025, and staff from the Scholars at Risk – Maynooth and the University of Sanctuary initiatives (both included in the Excellence in Exile pillar of the Office of the Vice-President for Equality and Diversity) will be part of the organization.

Organizzazione Roma 9 – Cina in Italia, Con l’Ambasciata della Repubblica Popolare Cinese in Italia e Ufficio Nazionale del Turismo Cinese, Direzione artistica Leonardo Cinieri Lombroso.

Roma9\Cina in Italia insieme alle istituzioni cinesi ha organizzato la rassegna di cinema cinese “Chūnjié” per dare ai cittadini romani la possibilità di festeggiare e ricordare l’importanza del capodanno e della cultura cinese attraverso alcuni film. La rassegna “Chūnjié” ha mostrato la cinematografia cinese degli ultimi anni toccando i generi del cinema rurale, sociale, gli ultimi straordinari effetti speciali nel fantasy e nei film d’epoca d’azione.  A curare la direzione artista è il regista Leonardo Cinieri Lombroso.  Presenti nella rassegna opere di importanti autori come Zhang Yimou considerato uno dei cineasti più importanti, ha ricevuto tre candidature agli Oscar. Chen Kaige ricordiamo il suo bellissimo film “Addio mia concubina”. Jia Zhangke figura portante della ‘sesta generazione’ del cinema cinese. Jia Zhangke è stato elogiato per il realismo delle sue opere che riflettono una Cina “autentica”. Oltre ai film ci sarà l’esibizione di musica tradizionale cinese, una degustazione di cibo cinese, un corso di calligrafia. La rassegna “Chūnjié” si è svolta al cinema Scena, lo spazio della Regione Lazio in via degli Orti D’Alibert 1, nel quartiere Trastevere. Nei giorni 1/8/11/13/15 febbraio 2022.
